Actually no, I'm really not. I'm pretty shit at first person shooters, but I've been having a lot of fun playing Team Fortress 2 against my brother. I got it for $10 on sale on Steam this weekend, if you want to hand me my ass in many humorous ways, my Steam ID is the same as my Twitter account, UrbanMythicaJP

TF2 and The Secret of Monkey Island HD are the only Steam games I have at the moment, though. Would love Left 4 Dead as well, because I Zoey. Maybe it'll go on sale soon too.


In other news, thanks for the advice on art block; I'm working through it with the Christmas commission pieces and I still really hope to have them all done and posted Christmas Eve/Christmas Day.


Also really hoping my PS3 import of Bayonetta gets here soon... this Wednesday makes five weeks since it shipped from Hong Kong!


On an unrelated subject, what do you folks think of the seedy comic idea of my latest poll, would you like to read that sort of thing? It would be Tara and friends' designs but not necessarily always in character, just playing different parts in different stories. Tara might be a shy bookish girl with a stunning figure in one story, to a vivacious sex kitten in the next, to a dangerous killer in yet another. Just to play with the designs a bit. I could see Tara, Raine/Avery, Adi, Mia, Divebomb, Vice, etc. showing up in diff roles. You know, the girls built like a brick house, hehehe.

Maybe I'll post lineart versions and sell color versions exclusively or something, who knows. Plans for the new year!

I'm also slightly tweaking Tara's design in 2010. I'm keeping mum on how, though! I'll also be debuting a 'new' sexy character in 2010; whoever will she be?

Anyone have any tips on how to get past an art block? Nothing I put to paper these days looks good at all, and this is a very, very bad time for that to happen. Suggestions?

In other news, LOL, I can't believe the top choice in my beard poll is to let it grow wild and huge. You guys telling me the wildman/hobo look is in? Hahaha. Fair enough, trimming this thing is a pain in the ass. lol


Also, I managed to get my sneaky little hands on a copy of Silent Hill Shattered Memories, and I've beaten it for the first time. It's a short game, but it's got replay value in multiple endings and how the game reacts to questions and choices you make. It's actually really, really neat; not AS creepy as the Silent Hill series proper, but as a standalone spinoff or "What-If" tale it does a really good job. It doesn't replace the original at all (they're actually quite different in major ways which I won't spoil for you) but I find it's a stronger entry than the original (which, it's no secret, I think is the weakest of the series along with Silent Hill 3). I played the Wii version; when the PS2 version comes out in January, I'll likely buy that as my own copy. The Wii remote works really well as the flashlight, but some of the other motion controls are a pain in the ass. Still, it's a wild ride and fans of the series should give it a shot, you'll get a kick out of it. Just take it as something new.
