I am so gorram happy with this picture I can't even begin to describe it. I used a reference for Superman out of Red Son book (which was really good by the way) and it's the first time I've tried to draw Supes - even with a reference - and he's actually turned out well. It always used to make me so so sad that I couldn't draw my freakin' boyhood hero (oh hell, he's still one of my heroes...) and now I have! I've been so freaking happy because of it, too.
Okay, so, it looks like Supes has caught a girder that was falling, but is taking the time to return my character Miriah's hat (it must have fallen off in the rush to get out of the girder's way). So he's all, "Here you go, miss," and she's all like "OMFG YOU'RE REAL." I'd actually really like to write a UM/Superman (or Smallville) story one day. Anyways! Superman and the Daily Planet are (c) DC Comics, Miriah is (c) myself, and the image is from a promotional photo from the new Superman movie. |
